Leather Field Collars

Built for dogs that work, roam, and explore.

Crafted from 10–12 oz Wickett & Craig vachetta leather, these collars are built for durability in the field while remaining supple and comfortable for everyday wear.

The leather is soft yet substantial, and will naturally darken with exposure to sun.

Designed for the Field

Each collar features a solid brass square ring centered on the back. This allows you to attach a leash or ID tag in a balanced position, keeping hardware secure and out of the way during movement.

We use a low-profile D-ring rather than a full-width 1" D-ring to reduce the chance of snagging on branches or brush — a small detail that makes a real difference for dogs working or playing outdoors. If you'd prefer to have no D-ring just let us know and we will leave it off for you.

Measuring & Fit

Our collars are made with heavy-duty roller buckles and feature five holes spaced ¾" apart to allow for adjustment as your dog’s size or coat changes.

• A 16" collar measures 16" at the middle hole
• Measurement is taken from where the buckle meets the leather to the center hole

Hardware

We don’t cut corners on hardware.

All components are solid cast, rust-resistant, and made from low-lead solid brass sourced from BuckleGuy — a supplier known for rigorous testing and consistent quality.

We have added rivets on either side of the square for added strength. They are also solid brass and are set with a hand press.

For safety, we use swivel bolt snaps on all leashes. Trigger (scissor-style) snaps can open unintentionally, and we avoid them for that reason.
